CELA ANNUAL CONFERENCE LUNCHEON - JOE POSNER AWARD: PHIL HOROWITZ Phil’s legal contributions are instrumental in our practices today. We all rely on the published decision of Nazir v. United Airlines, Inc. (2009) in which he prevailed over defense firms’ tactics in opposing motions for summary judgment. Phil spearheaded the bi-partisan efforts to review/draft the employment CACI instructions when they were first introduced and also the bi-partisan effort to draft employment form interrogatories. Through Phil’s many contributions to CELA and the plaintiffs’ employment bar, we can better defeat “big defense firms” and be successful advocates for our clients and the advancement of workers’ rights. |
