As a caregiver, do you ever experience burnout or loss of identity? During this session we focus on caregiver identity, how relationships are affected by the caregiver and the importance of maintaining balance in multiple roles. We look at research findings about caregiver identity and hear anecdotal experiences from our panelists. You learn ways to monitor caregiver burnout, and get suggestions and tips on maintaining balance and nourishing healthy relationships.

The National Youth Leadership Institute (NYLI) is a leadership training program for a diverse group of young women and men affected by bleeding and clotting disorders, ages 18-25. NYLI was created in 2004 to foster the development of leaders and help NHF chapters/associations across the country build strong youth programs. During this session you have the opportunity to meet a few members from NYLI. Learn about different projects they have been involved in over the past year and the application process. Members will highlight their experiences at NHF events, including Washington Days, Youth Fit, and serving as representatives on the NHF Board of Directors, Diversity Outreach Working Group, Steps for Living Task Force, and Annual Meeting Planning Committee.
