During this session we focus on the evaluation of hemophilic arthropathy of the elbow, including the general signs and symptoms, the physical findings, the evaluation tools and the medical and surgical treatment options. We also discuss the importance of self-infusion teaching and ways to accomplish this at camp, the importance of teaching within the camp setting, how other health-related topics that support the care of children with bleeding disorders can be incorporated at camp, and ways to make the learning experience fun.
