Why It Matters and What We Can Do About It Speakers: Ruth Mulvany, DPT, MS, PT This session reviews current research on prevalence and impact of overweight conditions in patients with bleeding disorders. We analyze the biomechanical stress of weight loading on joints and multiple body systems, and will review how being overweight adversely affects people with bleeding disorders even more than the average population. Examples of calculations for biomechanical stress are given.
